Parenting is a beautiful and fulfilling journey, though it can also be demanding. If you choose to parent, we offer a range of resources to help you every step of the way:

  • Prenatal care referrals
  • Parenting classes and workshops
  • Material assistance (diapers, clothing, etc.)
  • Emotional and practical support groups
  • Connections to community resources such as food banks, housing support, and healthcare options.

We are dedicated to supporting you in creating a nurturing and stable environment for your child. We can help you develop parenting skills, manage the practical aspects of raising a child, and connect with other parents in our community. Any help you need in parenting your child, PRC Grand Rapids can provide directly or with the support of our partners and community contacts.

Adoption

Adoption is a loving and selfless choice that provides a stable and supportive home for your child. There are various types of adoption, and we can help you understand the process and find an agency that aligns with your values.

  • Information on different adoption options
  • Referrals to reputable adoption agencies
  • Emotional support during and after the adoption process
  • Ongoing counseling and support

We believe adoption is a valid and compassionate choice and will help you explore all the possibilities to find the best match for your child and your situation.

Along the same lines as adoption, Michigan does have Safe Haven Laws. While this is not ideal and should always be used as the last option, Safe Haven Laws allow a parent to surrender their baby at an approved location if they are unable to care for it. To find an approved Safe Haven drop area or a baby box, here is a website that offers locations as well as more information.
